With this in mind, I had constructed an interview with one of the first known vexel artists, `ChewedKandi, who has done the art form for over 6 years now-- in fact, she had been a part of the inspiration for the creation of the word "vexel."
Q: What exactly does vexel mean?
A: A vexel is a digital piece of art work, created with the same process/techniques as a vector, but on raster/pixel based layers. That is all... nothing more nothing less
Q: Alright, Shar, recently you've been set off by vexels that aren't completely pure. What is it that makes a vexel/vector impure?
A: I think a misunderstanding of the genre will always be the key thing to those creating work which isn't as pure and as straight down the line as specified on deviantArt
